TRC July Meeting Notes

July 20th @ 3pm — Attendance Via Zoom

OPEN SESSION…

We have had rowers from New Zealand, Embry Riddle (Florida), and Yale over the past month or so. All found us through the Toledo Rowing Website. All were a pleasure to host as well as provided very positive feedback in regards to our facility and offerings.
Paige asked about the process for out of town guest rowers to have temporary access to row. Out of town rowers contact TRC mgmt, verify rowing experience & skill, required proof of US Rowing Mbrshp., sign all required TRF & TRC waivers & agreements, pay TRC a fee according to their time. This opportunity is not applicable for local people looking for short term rowing access.

Paige supplied 7 Facebook Marketplace listings for used aluminum boats similar to the styles utilized currently by TRC and the other BH entities. The selections would require an additional outdrive motor purchase. TRC mgmt. will review the presented options and weigh the pros and cons and determine the best path forward at this given time.

Multiple app & program ideas were discussed with the goal being to hopefully successfully organize a 4 or Quad rowing opportunity on a regular basis.
Determined that 2-3 set days a week need to be established and communicated to TRC.
Mark to determine what app we will try and then TRC members can sign up for the set dates according to their availabilities.
Chad will operate the TRC launch according to any dates that have enough member sign-ups to take out a 4 or quad.

Wallet / Phone / Keys lockers - Current lock on TRC main locker to be cut and replaced this week with a new one that utilizes the same code as the shower door. All members are responsible for re-locking the door every time they close it as the locker will be shared by all members. Just for clarification purposes, the newer individual lockers located in the restroom hallway are strictly for UT rowers use.
Log Book - Mark / Chad to replace or refill and install a new shelf for it to be located on in / near the current location. Members will be notified when it is ready for use again at which point logging in and out will be required by all TRC members and coaches for usage of all TRC & TRF boats.
Membership input on current TRC Boats? - No complaints, very appreciative for the TRC efforts & equipment.
